Feed Disease or FIGHT IT!


As you would imagine I talk to people quite often about reversing their chronic illness through nutrition. What shocks me time and time again is that when I begin telling them the cold hard truth the usual response is "oh I couldn't give that up"!

Maybe my delivery is poor and my passion misconstrued. For any of you who wouldn't EVER give up meat this is for you. I'm hoping after you read this you will AT LEAST consider limiting your animal consumption.

  • First of all the basics (which I go in much more detail on in my Bio-MAGNIFICATION Blog): Bio-magnification means that the higher up on the food chain an organism is, the more toxins are in their system. When you eat meat you are ingesting toxins.

  • Next up, ALL ANIMAL PRODUCTS CONTAIN CHOLESTEROL. YES our bodies have cholesterol but (just like animals) we make it on our own and don't need to consume it.

  • Here is what the Mayo Clinic has to say about cholesterol: When deciding whether to include eggs in your diet, consider the recommended daily limits on cholesterol in your food: If you are healthy, consume no more than 300 mg of cholesterol a day. If you have diabetes, high cholesterol or heart disease, limit the daily cholesterol intake to no more than 200 mg a day. (By the way one egg contains 187 mg of cholesterol.

  • 97% of AMERICANS CONSUME TOO MUCH PROTEIN - The World Health Organization recommends that only 5% of your daily intake be from protein. This would mean 38 grams of protein for a man burning 3000 calories a day and 29 grams for a woman using 2300 calories a day. To give you an example, 30 grams of protein would be equivalent to ONE skinless 3 oz chicken breast.

  1. Heart Disease:

  • A new study adds to a growing body of literature linking red meat consumption with increased heart disease risk. Researchers have found that when we eat red meat, there is a set of reactions mediated by microbes in our gut. These gut microbe reactions are triggered by carnitine, a nutrient found in red meat.   • According to the World Health Organization processed meats like sausage and bacon undoubtedly cause cancer, and red meats, such as beef and lamb, most probably do so as well. CLICK HERE

NOW for some GOOD news!!! PLANTS have an AMAZINGLY SOPHISTICATED DEFENSE SYSTEM! When we eat whole plant foods (veggies, nuts, beans, legumes, and fruit) we FIGHT TOXINS. In fact many plants will even push those toxins right out of your system.

Our bodies absorb the plants' defense system and those amazing nutrients know EXACTLY where to go in our bodies for our immune system to do AMAZING THINGS! In fact all medicines and supplements try to mimic the power of plants, but their affect is just minimal compared to consuming these foods directly.

Please friends reconsider, rethink, and reconstruct your eating habits (and those of your children) and I promise you WON'T REGRET IT!!!!
