Food Choices Putting You at Risk of Critical COVID-19

If you eat a Standard American Diet then your risk of a severe or critical case of COVID-19 is higher than it needs to be! Now is the time to make the connection between food and illness.


The diseases proving to put Americans at highest risk of COVID-19 hospitalization can be prevented, alleviated, or reversed through nutrition & other changes.


Most Americans eat the Standard American Diet... which sets the stage for our healthcare crisis and puts 1 in 2 adults in a compromised state to handle this new coronavirus.


When it comes to COVID-19 we know that the elderly are at high risk of becoming critical if infected. The other underlying issues that put us in danger of having a critical case of COVID-19 are...


COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases like Emphysema)

High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)

Cardiovascular (Heart) Disease

Diabetes

Obesity


Let's go through them one by one...


COPD is a leading cause of death and disability in the United States. Over 100 million adults in the U.S. have High Blood Pressure (many do not even know it), and according to the American Heart Association one in two Americans have heart disease.


That 1 in 2 number should BLOW YOUR MIND!! Honestly, it just makes me mad... because it doesn't have to be this way!


High Blood Pressure alone threatens your life with the possibility of stroke, heart failure, heart attack, and vision loss.



Diabetes has been on a growing trend with 1 in 3 adults in the U.S. diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. As far as obesity, 70 million Americans struggle in this area of health... which is a catalyst to chronic illness on its own.



The fabulous news is that most of the time these issues are reversible through nutrition.


Personally, I've been able to rid myself of fibromyalgia, chronic tendinitis, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic back & neck pain... and much more!


There are many studies where others have done the same when it comes to the issues discussed above. I've been fortunate in my nutrition business to witness clients overcoming diabetes, heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, and COPD.


How cool would it be to alleviate or reverse those issues now?


I believe that COVID-19 is the first wave of many more to come. We know that biblically our future will be filled with plagues. Not sure if it will be in our lifetime or not (only God knows that)... but while we're here on this earth our body is our temple and there is good reason for that!


Too many times I see Christians who do not put value on healthy eating. Maybe they don't drink, smoke, and maybe they live a good life... but the good Lord did not create our bodies to thrive with donuts, processed foods, burgers, hot dogs, fast food, pizza, candy, and chips!


My prayer is that you have not and will not be personally affected by COVID-19 and that you are extremely healthy. Let's be honest though, and if you need help humbly admit it. Now is the time to ensure that you prevent, alleviate, or even reverse a high risk situation.


Our grocery stores are filled with products that are easy and quick to prepare and our streets are lined with fast food restaurants. We barely have to lift a finger to eat in the United States.

These foods are filled with chemicals, sugar, trans fats, saturated fat, salt, sweeteners and more. They are literally designed to make us want more... making us addicted to foods that increase our risk of chronic illness.

Foods that are slowly killing us are advertised to Treat Yourself or because You Deserve It and we happily play along with short term satisfaction and long term disease.


Then, we turn to doctors for answers and they offer a magic pill that comes with side effects and a domino effect amounting to more health problems. We are caught sluggishly driving ourselves through a vicious hamster wheel and we don't even know it!

Most people would find answers and healing by speaking with a personal nutritionist in order to truly learn what delicious foods will result in a resolution to their unique health issues... or prevention of such!

However, please find a nutritionist who tells you what you can eat... not what you can't.


I know it can be scary to make changes, but think about all that you have to live for. Your kids, your spouse, your grand-kids? Maybe you want to continue serving the Lord in Ministry. Second to our faith in Christ, our health is of utmost importance!
